Endrick achieves new milestone for Brazil after scoring winning goal against Mexico

Endrick, the Brazilian wonderkid, broke yet another amazing milestone when he scored the game-winning goal for his nation in a 3-2 victory over Mexico.

The 17-year-old, who had signed a contract back in December 2022 with Real Madrid to join this 1 July, won the game by scoring his first of the game in added time of the second half. Mexico had rallied from two goals behind to make it 2-2 by 90+2′ only for Endrick to score the winner in the 90+6′.

After goals from Andreas Pereira and Gabriel Martinelli gave the Selecao a two-goal lead, goals from Julian Quinones and Guillermo Martinez appeared to win El Tri a draw as both teams prepare for the Copa America this summer.

To win the match for his country at Kyle Field in Texas, Endrick went unguarded in the penalty area and headed from Vinicius Junior’s cross.

Junior’s cross assisted the former Palmeiras prodigy in breaking a startling international record.

With only the illustrious Pele ahead of him, the current no. 9 of Brazil is the second-youngest player in Brazil’s annals who has scored three goals for the national team.

Endrick has three goals in three games for Brazil after earning his debut in a loss to Colombia along with an appearance in another loss to Argentina.

The first was against England in the March international break, when he scored the game’s lone goal at Wembley Stadium to become the youngest male scorer in a senior professional match.

He then scored another goal in the 3-3 draw with Spain that same month, and now that Dorival Junior’s team is hoping to win the Copa America, he has been assigned to Brazil‘s no. ‘9’ shirt.
