Kevin De Bruyne’s agent in contact with MLS club San Diego FC – reports

The new Major League Soccer (MLS) team in America San Diego FC are prepared to make a bold move to sign superstar Kevin De Bruyne from Manchester City. De Bruyne, who negotiated his previous deal on his own, has been informed by City that they are prepared to speak with him in the summer.

While there’s no indication that De Bruyne is dissatisfied with his life in Manchester, there are opportunities for him to play elsewhere than City, which he joined from Wolfsburg in 2015.

After paying a half-billion-dollar expansion fee, San Diego became the most expensive team to ever join MLS.

Plans are being made for San Diego’s playing personnel in advance of their inaugural season, which will take place in 2025 at the previously constructed Snapdragon Stadium.

They are owned by the “Right to Dream” Academy, who also manage FC Nordsjaelland in Denmark. Their goals are similar to those of Inter Miami, who under David Beckham’s direction made a major impact in the US by bringing Lionel Messi into the league.

San Diego intend to have a significant influence as well, and De Bruyne is one of the players who wants to spearhead their push into Major League Soccer.

The club is open to talking with De Bruyne’s camp this summer about a new contract, given his current one with City expires in 2025.

De Bruyne is 34 the following year, so it’s unclear if he’ll stay in England.

Though De Bruyne would want to transfer to America and San Diego are prepared to offer him that opportunity, he has been heavily linked to a move to the Saudi Arabian Pro League.

Given how highly the Belgian is regarded, it is thought they will offer him terms similar to Messi to bring him to California.
