Saudi champions Al Hilal planning swoop for Tottenham forward Richarlison in summer 2024 – reports

This summer, Al-Hilal, the top team in the Saudi league, plans to sign Tottenham forward Richarlison. According to Mail Sport, they enquired about the Brazilian with Spurs in January following Neymar’s knee injury that ended the season.

The team, one of the four supported by the Saudi Public Investment Fund, is quietly optimistic that they will be able to sign a contract with the 27-year-old as they are rapidly approaching the Pro League championship.

With three years left on his contract, the athlete is still not the subject of a formal approach. Tottenham, however, is anticipated to consider bids since Ange Postecoglou intends to make a big roster change this summer.

Due to a calf injury, Richarlison was left out of Brazil’s Copa America team last week, and it seems unlikely that he will play again this season.

This most recent setback comes after he suffered from knee problems for a large portion of the second half of the season, before making a comeback for Postecoglou’s team against Chelsea last week and scoring his first goal in three months on Sunday at Liverpool.

According to the source, Al Hilal have secured the Saudi Pro League title and are confident in their ability to complete the move for Richarlison.

Richarlison still has three years left on his Spurs deal, therefore a formal proposal is yet to be made. However, the north London team is anticipated to consider bids because boss Ange Postecoglou intends to make major squad changes during the next transfer window.

The Brazilian would be one of partnering Kalidou Koulibaly, Rúben Neves, Aleksandar Mitrovic, Sergej Milinkovic-Savic, and Yassine Bounou if he concludes a deal with Al Hilal, in addition to Neymar.
