Vitor Roque extremely unhappy at Barcelona over concerns about game time – reports

The representative for Vitor Roque has criticised Xavi’s handling of his client and hinted that if things don’t get better, he may quit Barcelona.

Several teams expressed interest in signing the 19-year-old last summer, including Manchester United. However, the Catalans emerged victorious in the competition for the forward, concluding a €61 million deal with Athletico Paranaense.

The young player has struggled to get minutes under manager Xavi, so the move hasn’t gone well for him in Spain. With just two starts in 13 outings, the Brazilian has played little over 300 minutes across all competitions this season.

United apparently became aware of his predicament and contacted his agency regarding a loan switch this summer. If the player’s circumstances don’t get better, Andre Cury has vowed to make a permanent transfer.

Rasmus Hojlund, a top-tier striker that Man United acquired from Atalanta in the summer, is already a member of the team. But they also require a strong substitute for the Denmark international.

Although Roque hasn’t had much of an impact at Barcelona, Xavi hasn’t given him enough chances. The Brazilian appears committed to showcasing his skills at the highest level and has a lot of potential.
