Jose Mourinho turns down offer to join Saudi club Al Shabab: sources

Jose Mourinho has dismissed the speculations of becoming Al Shabab’s manager after his sack from AS Roma. José Mourinho has confirmed that he’s “not gonna become Al Shabab new head coach”, toldPedro Morata.

Given that Roma decided to break company with Jose Mourinho earlier in the week, it’s possible that he may remain in Italy.

Mourinho and his group are reportedly thinking about extending their stay in Serie A after two and a half years in the Italian city.

The most recent story from Sport Mediaset claims that Mourinho’s longstanding agent, Jorge Mendes, has communicated with Aurelio De Laurentiis, the president of Napoli.

Mendes has made Mourinho available to coach Napoli starting in the upcoming campaign since it is unlikely that the Partenoperi will stick with their present interim coach, Walter Mazzarri.

The Portuguese coach and his representative, Jorge Mendes, had been talking about this possibility before he was fired by AS Roma on Tuesday, six months ahead of the conclusion of his contract.

In October, “The Special One” expressed his belief that he will eventually coach in the Gulf region, and more recently, Mendes acknowledged that “it was just a matter of time” until it transpired. It’s almost as if they anticipated that the two-time Champions League winner would soon have another chance to join the Saudi Pro League.
