Manchester United number ‘7’ Mason Mount set to miss next two games due to injury

Mason Mount will miss two games due to an injury, according to Manchester United.

The midfielder, who joined from Chelsea in the summer for £65 million, has started the first two Premier League games for his new team, but he injured himself against Tottenham.

With five minutes left, Mount was replaced by Facundo Pellistri in north London, in what seemed to be a standard tactical adjustment.

He won’t be able to play against Nottingham Forest on Saturday or Arsenal the following week, according to the club.

A statement has been revealed: “Mason Mount is set to miss Saturday’s game against Nottingham Forest due to an injury picked up in last weekend’s encounter with Tottenham Hotspur. “The small complaint is expected to keep Mount out until the international break next month.”

Mount, 24, thus becomes a question mark for England’s friendly match against Scotland at Hampden Park three days after the England-Ukraine match in September.
